Who We Are and What We Do?

We founded MAVIS Nový Bor s.r.o. in 1993. Our main activity was the supply of measurement and control (MaR) systems, mainly for the glass industry. Two key aspects from that time shaped us in the years that followed. The first was establishing close cooperation with a supplier of sheathed thermocouples and temperature sensor leads, the company SensyMIC GmbH (originally Sensycon GmbH), and a manufacturer of flow sensors, Höntzsch GmbH & Co. KG. The second aspect was the limited availability of high-temperature sensors on the Czech market.

A major change came in 2003, when we began series production of thermoelectric temperature sensors, and in 2008 we expanded our production to include resistance temperature sensors. Building on our production activities, in 2012 we established an accredited calibration laboratory for temperature.

The company’s operations are subject to a quality management system in accordance with ČSN EN ISO 9001:2016. The company’s current focus can be divided into the following key areas:

We manufacture thermoelectric and resistance temperature sensors. Our production portfolio covers sensors for temperature measurement from -200 °C to 1900 °C.

A large share of our production consists of custom-made sensors built to our customers’ specific needs.

We provide calibration of contact temperature sensors. The laboratory operates in accordance with the ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 standard.

We handle the sale of products from our own production as well as commercial goods related to temperature measurement. We also sell flow meters from Höntzsch GmbH & Co. KG, for which we are the distributor for the Czech and Slovak markets.

Over the years, we have gathered extensive experience in temperature and flow measurement. We are happy to share this experience and help design the optimal solution for your application.
