Thermocouple assemblies with double ceramic tube
- outer ceramic C610 (Pythagoras) with a diameter of 24 mm and inner ceramic C610 (Pythagoras)
- for precious metal thermocouple (most often type S, R or B)
Thermocouple assemblies with double ceramic tube
Temperature sensors of the MTC1 series are the basic version of temperature sensors with a ceramic tube. They have a double protective ceramic tube made of “Pythagoras” material and are suitable for applications with operating temperatures up to 1300 °C. They withstand temperature shocks well, but their chemical resistance is only average. The ceramic parts are not completely gas-tight, which may negatively affect the long-term lifetime of the installed thermocouple.
The measuring element is a precious metal thermocouple. The output signal of the thermocouple is a voltage, whose dependence on temperature is defined by the ČSN EN 60584-1 ed. 2 standard. Thermocouples are not included in the ordering code (ordered separately).
The assembly consists of a head, holding pipe, outer and inner protective ceramic tube and a capillary, in which one or two thermocouples can be installed. The head is equipped with a cable gland for connecting the compensation cable.
The sensor can be fitted with a temperature converter. A PR mounting flange can be used to secure the sensor at the measuring point.
