The MTC4 thermocouple temperature sensor is fitted with a single protective tube made of Alsint (C799) ceramic. This material is gas-tight, but has lower resistance to thermal shocks. Thanks to its gas-tightness, the sensor achieves a notably long lifetime. The sensor is fitted with a base metal thermocouple of type J, K or N.
The sensor consists of a head, a holding pipe, a protective ceramic tube and a capillary, and is fitted with a cable gland.
The sensor can be fitted with a temperature converter or with a PR mounting flange.
