THERMOELECTRIC TEMPERATURE SENSORS WITH A CERAMIC PROTECTIVE TUBE AND A MEASURING INSERT
The MTC5M series is designed for applications with operating temperatures up to 1100 °C and a requirement for a small sensor outer diameter. It has a single ceramic protective tube made of Pythagoras (C610) material. It withstands thermal shocks well, however its chemical resistance is only average.
The measuring element is a base metal thermocouple of type J, K or N. The thermocouple’s output signal is a voltage whose dependence on temperature is defined by the ČSN EN 60584-1 ed. 2 standard.
The sensor consists of a head, a holding pipe, a protective ceramic tube and a measuring insert. The head is fitted with a cable gland for connecting a compensation cable.
The sensor can be fitted with a temperature converter. A PR mounting flange can be used to secure the sensor at the point of measurement.
