Thermocouple temperature sensor with a single ceramic protective tube.
- Luxal 203 (C799) ceramic, diameter 15 mm
- base metal thermocouple, type J, K or N
Thermocouple temperature sensor with a single ceramic protective tube.
The MTC6L series is designed for applications with operating temperatures up to 1090 °C. It has a single ceramic protective tube made of Luxal 203 (C799) material, which is gas-tight. Its resistance to thermal shocks is, however, low. The lifetime of the thermocouple pair in sensors of this series is among the highest.
The measuring element is a base metal thermocouple of type J, K or N. The thermocouple’s output signal is a voltage whose dependence on temperature is defined by the ČSN EN 60584-1 ed. 2 standard.
The sensor consists of a head, a holding pipe, a protective ceramic tube and a capillary, in which one or two thermocouples can be installed. The head is fitted with a cable gland for connecting a compensation cable.
The sensor can be fitted with a temperature converter. A PR mounting flange can be used to secure the sensor at the point of measurement.
