THERMOELECTRIC TEMPERATURE SENSORS WITH A METAL SHEATH AND MINERAL INSULATION
The MTC11H series consists of structurally simple, formable, yet relatively robust sensors with a fast temperature response. The type B head allows installation of a converter for a standardized output signal.
The measuring element is a base metal thermocouple of type J, K or N. The thermocouple’s output signal is a voltage whose dependence on temperature is defined by the ČSN EN 60584-1 ed. 2 standard.
The sensor consists of a thermocouple encapsulated in a metal sheath with mineral insulation according to the ČSN EN 61515 standard, and head B. It is therefore often referred to as a mineral-insulated, metal-sheathed thermocouple. The stem is flexible, allowing the sensor to be easily adapted to the point of measurement.
