THERMOELECTRIC TEMPERATURE SENSORS WITH A METAL SHEATH AND MINERAL INSULATION
The MTC15P measuring thermocouple inserts with a converter are a component with a wide range of uses as the measuring element in a whole range of temperature sensors with a metal or ceramic protective tube, as well as a standalone temperature sensor. The sensor stem uses mineral-insulated thermocouple cable material, which allows manufacture across a wide range of lengths and diameters.
The measuring element is a base metal thermocouple of type J, K, L or N. The thermocouple’s output signal is a voltage whose dependence on temperature is defined by the ČSN EN 60584-1 ed. 2 standard, or by DIN 43 710 for the type L thermocouple.
The thermocouple is encapsulated in a metal sheath with mineral insulation according to the ČSN EN 61515 standard. The sheath is flexible and the sensor can be easily adapted to the point of measurement.
