Temperature sensors of the MTC21 series are designed as an economically advantageous alternative to robust industrial designs. Owing to their dimensions, the sensors are suitable for applications with limited installation space.
The measuring element is a base metal thermocouple of type K or N. The thermocouple output signal is a voltage whose dependence on temperature is defined by the CSN EN 60584-1 ed. 2 standard.
The sensor consists of a holder with a terminal block, a single protective ceramic tube and beads. A compensation cable can be connected to the terminal block.
