The MTC16N series, designed to be screwed into a welded socket, is intended for applications with operating temperatures up to 1100 °C where high mechanical durability of the design is not simultaneously required.
The measuring element is a base metal thermocouple of type J, K, L or N. The thermocouple output signal is a voltage whose dependence on temperature is defined by the CSN EN 60584-1 ed. 2 standard, or by DIN 43 710 for the type L thermocouple.
The sensor consists of a head, a protective metal tube, a threaded fitting and a measuring insert. The head is fitted with a cable gland for connecting a compensation cable.
