FITTINGS FOR THERMOELECTRIC TEMPERATURE SENSORS WITH A CERAMIC PROTECTIVE TUBE
The MTC5LA series is the basic line of fittings for temperature sensors with a single ceramic protective tube. It has a protective tube made of Lunit 73 ceramic and is suitable for applications with operating temperatures up to 1300 °C. It is characterized by good resistance to thermal shocks. The ceramic tube is gas-tight, which provides a slightly increased long-term lifetime of the installed thermocouple.
The measuring element is a precious metal thermocouple, most commonly of type S, R or B. The thermocouple’s output signal is a voltage whose dependence on temperature is defined by the ČSN EN 60584-1 ed. 2 standard. Thermocouples are not included in the ordering code (ordered separately).
The fitting consists of a head, a holding pipe, a protective ceramic tube and a capillary, in which one or two thermocouples are installed. The head is fitted with a cable gland for connecting a compensation cable.
The sensor can be fitted with a temperature converter. A PR mounting flange can be used to secure the sensor at the point of measurement.
