THERMOELECTRIC TEMPERATURE SENSORS WITH A CERAMIC AND METAL PROTECTIVE TUBE

The MTC7BM series is designed for applications with operating temperatures up to 1250 °C and a requirement for mechanical durability of the design. Thanks to the combination of a metal and a ceramic protective tube, it exhibits good dimensional stability even at higher temperatures.

The measuring element is a base metal thermocouple (type J, K or N) or a precious metal thermocouple (most commonly type S, R or B). The thermocouple’s output signal is a voltage whose dependence on temperature is defined by the ČSN EN 60584-1 ed. 2 standard.

The sensor consists of a head, an outer metal tube, an inner ceramic tube and capillaries, in which one or two thermocouples are installed. The head is fitted with a cable gland for connecting a compensation cable.

The sensor can be fitted with a temperature converter. A PR mounting flange can be used to secure the sensor at the point of measurement.
