Thermocouple temperature sensor with a metal protective tube.
- tube made of 1.4541 stainless steel, diameter 14 mm
- base metal thermocouple, type J, K or N
Thermocouple temperature sensor with a metal protective tube.
The MTC8 series is designed for applications with operating temperatures up to 1100 °C and a requirement for mechanical durability of the design. Optional parameters include a fixed welded threaded fitting with an immersion length according to customer requirements, and a reduced version of the measuring tip for a faster temperature response of the sensor.
The measuring element is a base metal thermocouple of type J, K or N. The thermocouple’s output signal is a voltage whose dependence on temperature is defined by the ČSN EN 60584-1 ed. 2 standard.
The sensor consists of a head, a protective metal tube with a diameter of 14 mm, a threaded fitting and capillaries, in which one or two thermocouples are installed. The head is fitted with a cable gland for connecting a compensation cable.
The sensor can be fitted with a temperature converter. A PR mounting flange can be used to secure the sensor at the point of measurement.
