The measuring principle is based on sensing the rotational speed of a turbine placed in the flowing measured medium. The turbine’s rotation is directly proportional to the flow velocity of the measured medium and is largely independent of its density, pressure, and temperature. Turbine anemometers can be used for measurements in both gases and liquids.
