Temperature sensors of the MTC16S series are designed for applications with operating temperatures up to 1100 °C where extremely high mechanical robustness is not required at the same time. Optional parameters include a permanently welded threaded fitting with the immersion length specified by the customer.
The measuring element is a base metal thermocouple, type J, K, L or N. The output signal of the thermocouple is a voltage, whose dependence on temperature is defined by the ČSN EN 60584-1 ed. 2 standard, or DIN 43 710 for type L thermocouple.
The sensor consists of a head, a protective metal tube, a welded threaded fitting and a measuring insert. The head is equipped with a cable gland for connecting the compensation cable.
