ANGLED THERMOELECTRIC TEMPERATURE SENSORS WITH A SIC CERAMIC PROTECTIVE TUBE AND A MEASURING INSERT
The MTC7UC series is primarily designed for measuring the temperature of molten non-ferrous metals. Due to the wall thickness of the protective tube, however, it is not suitable for applications requiring a fast temperature response of the sensor.
The measuring element is a base metal thermocouple of type J, K or N. The thermocouple’s output signal is a voltage whose dependence on temperature is defined by the ČSN EN 60584-1 ed. 2 standard.
The sensor consists of a head, an extension piece, an elbow, a clamping bell, a SiC ceramic tube and a measuring insert. The head is fitted with a cable gland for connecting a compensation cable.
The sensor can be fitted with a temperature converter. A PR mounting flange can be used to secure the sensor at the point of measurement.
